Since 2000, Malteser International is implementing humanitarian projects in DR Congo with financial support of ECHO.
2009 ich.tv produced the documentary "New ways of success. Humanitarian aid in DR Congo" which shows the impact of the work of Malteser International in the country. The movie describes the different projects in the field of health, nutrition, food aid, food security and road rehabilitation.
Malteser International in South Sudan
Since 1998, Malteser International is providing health care in South Sudan.
The documentary "The forgotten diseases", produced by ich.TV presents the work in the leprosy and sleeping sickness Projects in Yei and tells personal stories of the beneficiaries.
The documentary was funded by the Spanish Agency for international development cooperation (ACID) that also financially supports projects of Malteser International in South Sudan.
HIV education on track
Reaching out to migrants on the trains of South India
The region of Tamil Nadu has the second highest HIV infection rate of India. Whole villages and the social structures are endangered while AIDS is still a big taboo subject.
The documentary film introduces an HIV/AIDS education project in Tamil Nadu in the south-east of India. The project targets migrants and day labourers that migrate to the big cities of Mumbai and Chennai. Contact points for the outreach teams are train stations and trains that transport hundreds of day labourers.
